The BEST 5 BOOK COVERS
for books released on March 1, 2017
For every day that has enough book releases, I select five books that have great covers–the best for that day in my opinion. This isn’t limited to a particular genre or publisher. I’m more than happy to include self-published books if they have awesome covers.
The abbreviated name for this feature is 5BC. You can find other days’ posts by searching 5BC in the box on the right.
All of the covers link to Amazon if you would like to learn more about the books.
I hope you enjoy looking at my selections. if you like anything you see 🙂
At first I thought this cover was too busy, but then I decided it’s fine because the colors of the background are not as strong. The cover for VERDANT MAGIC definitely grabbed my attention.
The cover for THE GOOD PIRATE is simple yet pretty. I’m not a big fan of the font script, but overall I like the cover.
I don’t know if the cover for OF HIS BONES has anything to do with the plot, but it’s still nice. The colors are probably what I like most about it.
I don’t like the circle that tells me what series it is. If it were a different color, I might have been okay with it. But, as a whole, I like the cover for DEADLY BURIAL a lot. It is atmospheric.
When I saw that “Cancer in Retrograde” is only 27 pages, my first thought was why waste such a nice cover on a short story? It seems like a lot of work and/or expense for not much of a book. That’s just my thought about it. Anyway, I like this cover a lot except for the strange wispy, symbol-looking thing at the top. I have no idea what that is supposed to be. I even enlarged the image to try to figure it out; I’m just not sure what it is. Any thoughts?
